Pictures of Tobys shown here will change from time to time, but are shown as a general illustration of regular stock OF 250+TOBYS.
Four magnificent Yorkshires. On the left a magenta face who is holding a small toby, on the right a rarely seen tartan coat Yorkshire. I have many other Yorkshires, some with the large crown impressed in the base.
Three nice ordinaries, the one with the blue trousers being a quality Portobello. I have about 80 ordinaries in stock.
My stock is changing all the time, it is not possible to keep this site completely up to date. Why not send me an e mail and tell me what you may be looking for. With over 300 usually in stock at any one time it is quite likely I can help you.
A mixed range of jugs in stock. Sorry the picture here is rather small, but I hope it will give you some idea of the stock available. The largest stock in the UK.
A typical example of the mixed range of jugs always in stock. It is impossible to show them all to advantage, but there are always 250-300 available.
A mixed selection, including a Victorian Squat Toby, he sells for about £75.
Here are two fine Prattware jugs. The one on the left dates from around 1825-30 and he is in excellent condition holding a beautiful floral jug. His ticket price is £625. The jug on the right is earlier about 1790 and he sports a fine bright orange coat. His ticket price is £595. He has had a little professional work done to his right arm but he is an excellent example of early Prattware. Good early Prattware jugs are becoming increasingly hard to find and are rapidly increasing in value.
A good quality underglazed jug dating from about 1800 - 1810. He is in good condition throughout and shows all the features one would expect for a Toby of that period. His striking blue coat contrasts well with his orange trousers and waistcoat. The jug of ale he is holding is well decorated and full. His face shows the typically unpainted teeth of that period and just a little colouring on his cheeks. His ticket price is a modest £550.00. These early jugs are destined to rise in value on a regular basis.
Four late Hearty Goodfellows about 1880, one with a most unusual green coat. A Jolly Miller to the right and a Treacle Glaze peeking through from the back. See other pages on this site for Georgian Heartys dated around 1800. They sell for about £600.
Three Davenports all with impressed anchor on base. Davenport Tobys are one of the few which have impressed marks in the base. The Anchor and date number is usually easily seen. Davenports show bold colours and features.

New to my stock. A superb Sailor. He dates from about 1870-1880 and is in excellent condition. He stands the full height of nearly 11 inches and his colouring and glaze are a pleasure to see. Sailors such as this are relatively difficult to find and I am putting a ticket price for this one at £395.00 which is almost certainly less than one would pay at auction. He has the anchor between his feet and he is sitting on a large sea chest. He holds a glass in one hand and an empty jug in the other. He must make a fine addition to any Staffordshire or Toby Jug collection. THESE SAILOR JUGS ARE BECOMING QUITE DIFFICULT TO FIND IN SUCH GOOD CONDITION SUCH AS THIS ONE. SOLD SOLD
PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE ALWAYS AT LEAST 200 OTHER PRE 1900 TOBY JUGS AVAILABLE NOT JUST THOSE SHOWN ON THIS SITE
This Toby has a most unusual Deep Orange face and hands with staring eyes. The picture here does not do him justice. He is in excellent condition. He dates from about 1830 and he has hollow legs. He has his original pipe and sports a very decorative waistcoat. I have never seen an example with this magnificent colouring, he really is quite different. I am putting a ticket price on him of only £525.00. Note the 1820 Hearty Goodfellow lurking behind, he also appears elsewhere on this site with two others.
DON'T FORGET THERE ARE ALWAYS 200-300 ENGLISH TOBYS AVAILABLE DATED FROM 1780 - 1900. Don't forget I also buy.
